A HUGE VICTORY: Israel lifts mandatory fluoridation

Friday, April 12th, 2013

As pediatricians and dentists charged that it would harm children’s dental  well-being, Health Minister Yael German said Thursday that municipalities and  local authorities would in a year no longer have to fluoridate their drinking  water.

German, who previously as mayor of Herzliya opposed “forcing” residents to take the mineral with every drop they drink, said there were more  effective and safer ways to protect children’s teeth – such as fluoride pills,  toothpastes and education. (more…)

25 Studies Prove Fluoride Reduces Your IQ

Tuesday, December 18th, 2012

By: Dr. Mercola

Dr. Paul Connett is recognized worldwide as a leader in the movement to eliminate fluoride from the municipal water supplies, and I’m pleased to be working with him to achieve this goal.

Earlier this year, he used frequent flyer miles to visit New Zealand and in a month-long tour gave presentations to communities all over the country.

In this interview, he shares some of the successes the movement has experienced. (more…)

How to Decalcify Your Pineal Gland

Thursday, October 18th, 2012

Fluoride is a soluble salt, not a heavy metal. There are two basic types of fluoride. Calcium fluoride appears naturally in underground water sources and even seawater. Enough of it can cause skeletal or dental fluorosis, which weakens bone and dental matter. But it is not nearly as toxic, nor does it negatively affect so many other health issues as sodium fluoride, which is added to many water supplies.

Sodium Fluoride is a synthetic waste product of the nuclear, aluminum, and phosphate fertilizer industries. This fluoride has an amazing capacity to combine and increase the potency of other toxic materials. The sodium fluoride obtained from industrial waste and added to water supplies is also already contaminated with lead, aluminum, and cadmium. (more…)

How Fluoride Was Sold To America…And How We Bought It

Tuesday, August 21st, 2012

The battle on fluoridation continues and is burning through the American southwest. Phoenix, Arizona, the nation’s sixth most populous city, is seeking to rid itself of the harmful chemical compound known as fluoride. Come this fall, the Phoenix city council is slated to discuss the future of fluoride and its removal from the municipal water supply, a move that has been a growing trend in cities across the United States. Just recently, Albuquerque, New Mexico passed a ruling to put an end to fluoridation in its city water system. In 2001, residents of the city of Flagstaff, Arizona, voted by an overwhelming majority to have fluoride removed from their public water system. (more…)

Research Confirms Pineal Gland as a Major Fluoride Collector

Wednesday, July 11th, 2012

Thanks to research first conducted by the University of Surrey in England in 1997, it is now known that the soft tissue of the adult pineal gland contains more fluoride than any other soft tissue in your body. In fact, the levels of pineal gland fluoride examined in the study were high enough to inhibit enzymes. (more…)

Fluoride Already Shown to Cause 10,000 Cancer Deaths

Monday, June 4th, 2012

Water fluoridation is a highly controversial topic, with many individuals voicing massive concern over the practice. In contrast, some stick to the concept that there isn’t any association between fluoride and any real negative effects. Fluoride, however, is indeed a toxic substance, and has been tied with numerous health complications in well-established research. (more…)

Fluoride and cognitive dissonance

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

Reading the recent letter to the editor from Dr. Staples and Dr. Kanelos, “About Fluoride” (April 25), was like stepping into a cognitive dissonance machine. With all due respect to their training and skill as dental professionals, the overwhelming weight of evidence suggests that, in this matter, they are wrong.
Their claim that investing $1 in fluoridation saves $38 in dental costs is a commonly parroted point taken from a 2001 paper in the Journal of Public Health Dentistry by Griffin et al. The authors of that study inflated the benefits of water fluoridation, and they allowed for $18 per hour lost pay for time off work. But not all people lose pay when they visit a dentist. Further, the authors ignored the costs of side effects, such as dental fluorosis, which has reached epidemic proportions (a point recently recognized by the Centers for Disease Control — hence their recommendation to lower the amount of fluoride in drinking water and not give fluoridated water to infants). Cosmetic treatment for a single affected tooth can reach $1,000. (more…)

Water district operator takes up anti-fluoride fight

Thursday, February 23rd, 2012

It is possible that customers of Carroll Boone Water District may not have fluoride added to their water after all as a result a CBWD contract with Eureka Springs, Berryville, Green Forest and Harrison that forbids the introduction of any corrosive water into distribution systems. (more…)

Dental Exam Went Well? Thank Fluoride

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

The benefits of fluoride have never been refuted. It is the ingestion of it that is so bad. Read this wonderful blog post from the NY Times and consider topical Fluoride and continue to fight against fluoridation of our waters.

I admit to being jealous of my sons for growing up in a time when vaccines spared them miseries like the measles, mumps and polio scares that marred my childhood. But I’m most envious of their freedom from the dental decay that forced me to spend countless miserable hours with my mouth propped open while the dentist did his best to stay on top of rapidly rotting teeth.

Does Fluoride contribute to the increased epidemic of cardiovascular disease?

Monday, January 16th, 2012

New research reveals a startling new finding: fluoride is likely contributing to the epidemic of cardiovascular disease by stimulating calcification of the vascular system, including the coronary arteries.

In a study published in the journal Nuclear Medicine Communicationsthis month (Jan. 2012), researchers assessed fluoride uptake and calcification in the major arteries of 61 patients who were administered sodium fluoride, the active ingredient in most fluoridated toothpastes.
